Brett Lavinthal is an investment banker with extensive media and entertainment industry expertise. He has broad experience on both the financial and operational sides of the entertainment industry, with over a decade’s worth of experience delivering $100M studio feature films to market and having served as owner/operator for two film services companies. Mr. Lavinthal has advised both U.S. and international clients in a diverse array of industries including media, consumer products, financial institutions, and infrastructure.
Prior to joining Clear Capital Advisors, Mr. Lavinthal was an investment banker at Cappello Capital Corp., where he raised capital and executed M&A transactions for financial institutions and consumer products companies.
Previously, Mr. Lavinthal worked for major studios, including Twentieth Century Fox, Warner Bros, Sony, and Universal and has managed teams and projects worldwide in the U.S., Canada, U.K., Brazil and South Africa. In addition to his work in studio feature production, Mr. Lavinthal founded and operated two film services companies providing storage and data management and consulting services to the entertainment industry.
Mr. Lavinthal received his M.B.A. from the UCLA Anderson School of Management and earned his B.A. from the University California, Berkeley. Mr. Lavinthal is registered with FINRA as a Limited Representative – Investment Banking (Series 79 and 63). In his free time, Mr. Lavinthal enjoys swimming, hiking, cooking, and spending time with his family.
