Bruce Pompan is an experienced investment banker in providing sell-side and buy-side mergers and acquisitions advisory services, arranging private placements and structuring recapitalizations for growth companies. He has a broad range of industry expertise, particularly in business and consumer services, healthcare services, manufacturing, software services, online media, communications, technology, and entertainment.
Prior to co-founding Clear Capital Advisors, Mr. Pompan served for over seven years as Managing Director at Cappello Capital, a boutique investment bank in the Los Angeles area. During his tenure at Cappello, Mr. Pompan led the firm's middle market mergers & acquisition practice and was the primary originator of new business and interface with private equity and lending sources.
Mr. Pompan previously held the position of Director of Investment Banking at Harris Nesbitt Gerard (formerly Gerard Klauer Mattison) and at ING Barings. He was instrumental in building ING Barings’ West Coast presence, facilitating over $2 billion in equity financings, recapitalizations and mergers and acquisitions. Prior to joining ING Barings, Mr. Pompan was a Senior Consultant at Kenneth Leventhal & Company, where he specialized in real estate, financial analysis, troubled debt restructuring and business valuation.
Mr. Pompan received his M.B.A. from New York University, Graduate School of Business Administration (Stern School of Business) and earned his B.A. from Yale University. He is a Certified Public Accountant (inactive) and is registered with FINRA as a General Securities Representative (Series 7 and 63) and a General Securities Principal (Series 24).
Mr. Pompan was Captain of the Yale Varsity Tennis Team, and now enjoys paddle tennis, running, skiing, basketball, and, most of all, watching his two sons compete on various club and school teams.
